Discover McGill day is when we go to the school and we get intros, tours around the school, and I know I mentioned this already, but in the evening there is a Street Fest where many clubs and organizations are set up along McTavish Street (where I signed up for Quidditch and others). On the school tours though, it's pretty funny to think that I thought the school was just that central area where all the tourists go to. I mean, there's these whole areas that stretches way beyond, and holy- they aren't exactly close. It's crazy.
This is a beautiful laminated map that I received. It's great that the map is very sturdy and waterproof!
Now, the front green space, sorta in a U shape? That's where the general public goes, and where the school tours go around. Now all these brown buildings are part of McGill. See how far they stretch out? Crazy. So it was a really really hot day, and my randomly assigned group toured beyond the U-shape of McGill. I met this girl, Annie, who was the first person I met from the Greenbriar rez. It's apartment-style, and was my 3rd choice of rez. Apparently most of the girls who live at Greenbriar (cap. 99 ppl) are Asian. I was SO surprised, because although asians are a very visible at McGill, they are a minority. So, whaaaaaat?! I can figure it out. Anyway, just a random piece of news.
