So this girl on my floor has synesthesia. The first person I've ever met who did, so it's very cool. We were doing a big group study at my apartment, for math. Aaaargh, the one that took like, 5 hours....
Anyways, if you didn't know, synesthesia can be defined as "perceiving sensory data of one sense with another, eg, seeing sounds or hearing colors."
She sees colours in sounds/words. Lol, she said that math sounded red, and I agree that that was pretty fitting for the subject that we were frustrated/stuggling/angry with. Haha. So I asked if my name was red (just to make sure I'm not associated with math any more than I need to!) and she said that I was green and yellow. O.O yuck? Hahhaa.. like, sewer water? She clarified and said that it was sorta green and yellow, interwoven. I wonder what music sounds like for her.. I mean, it would be so amazing to be able to SEE MUSIC. Beautiful. I can only imagine what it's like.. I should read up more on synesthesia- it's something I don't know much about, and I'm so curious to know more! My roomie, D, is apparently green. Green is nice. Green ... is trees. =)
